10th December 2006 Windsurfing: Poo Bay Wind Direction: SW Wind Stength: 5-6 Surf / Sea State: Flat, slight chop Air Temperature: 10 Sea Temperature: 10 Weather: Overcast, rain Max Speed: ? Distance Covered: quite a fe Got out about 14.30, pootled out through lagoon, then off we go! Very flat conditions, basically hammered up and down and practising gybes in the ideal conditions. Actually had some good results, although can\'t keep the sucker on the plane round the corner. The secret is SPEED - take a big handful and bear away, shouting as loudly as possible and actually riding the board... Some others out although as it got darker and wetter they faded away. Air temp not too bad, the water a shock on the hands. Enjoyed doing S-bends, across, up, down the little wavelets - needed some bigger ones, maybe next time :) |
